About This Novel
The first part, "Son of Destiny: Fruit," records the growth of his son in the form of prose, as well as the pain and joy of being a father... Compared to the first part, which is in the form of a memoir or life essay, the completely fictional second part, "Descartes' Daughter," is a reflection. I deliberately added many annotations and wrote it as if it were a biography translated from a foreign language, but the perspective is subjective, that is, a father's perspective. After constructing an imaginary daughter, I thought I might as well construct an imaginary son, so I came up with the idea for the third part. This non-existent son flower is the contrast of the real son fruit. As a "younger brother," I wonder what the possibilities are for a "completely different other son."
