The twenty-nine essays included in this book were published sporadically in various newspapers and periodicals by the author over the past twenty years. They are of any length and discuss literary and artistic affairs. These articles are roughly divided into three groups. Some are the author's speeches at symposiums, some are lecture notes in class, some are reflections after reading new works by teachers and friends, and the author's personal experience in learning calligraphy, painting, and seal cutting and overseas experiences. The content discussed in the book records the author's learning experience at various stages from different angles, and is a record of the author's understanding of art.
