About This Novel
"The Free Book" is a collection of the shining thoughts of Hai Nan, winner of the 6th (2014) Lu Xun Literature Prize. Like Hai Nan's "The Biography of Men" back then, it is still difficult to include "The Free Book" into a text bound by some agreement. It was the moment when she was most leisurely, the moment when she was most focused on something, the most sentimental and happiest moment... In the countryside, on the hills, when she raised her head to look up at a floating cloud in the sky... The world was so broken, and God sent her to understand the words. She must bend down, pick up the fragments, and string them into pearls to illuminate and warm people's hearts. When a person focuses on a certain moment, those small events in life collide with her thoughts, and the sparks are like shooting stars in the night sky - they only appear to those who think at night and those who are lost.
