About This Novel

He Jingming (1483-1521), named Zhongmo, also known as Baipo, also known as Dafushan, was from Xinyang. In the fifteenth year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1502), he became a Jinshi. He was appointed deputy envoy to Shaanxi Province to study. He is one of the "First Seven Sons" and is known as a leader in the literary world together with Li Mengyang. He has "Da Fu Ji". There are more than 1,600 of his poems extant today, which are rich in inspiration from the Han and Tang Dynasties. Some of the poems have quite realistic content, while others are about pleasant landscapes, which are suitable for the true nature.
