About This Novel

This book is an autobiographical prose by Shen Fu, a native of the Qing Dynasty, recalling the past events in his life. The author uses sometimes light and sometimes affectionate writing styles to write down the joys, joys and sorrows of his life, with sincere feelings and never deliberately pretentious. It is fascinating to read. It has been passed down to this day and has become a classic. The original text of this book is based on the Republic of China version published by Kaiming Bookstore, supplemented by several other editions for proofreading, so as to ensure rigor. There are a total of six original works, among which "Zhongshan Ji Li" and "Yu Sheng Ji Dao" have long been lost. Many biographies have been tested as forgeries and are included in the appendix. The first edition preface, postscript and Shen Fu's chronology are also attached for reference only.
