"Six Chapters of a Floating Life" is an autobiographical prose written by Shen Fu, a native of Changzhou in the Qing Dynasty, in the 13th year of Jiaqing (1808). It consists of six volumes. The whole book records the ordinary life, ups and downs of Shen Fu and his wife Chen Yun, as well as their travels in various places.
