About This Novel
Miyamoto Mori was physically handicapped but strong-willed, with a wide range of interests, including extensive research on poetry, literature, calligraphy, painting, paper-cutting, archeology, abacus, and flower cultivation. With perseverance that is unimaginable to ordinary people, he created one poem after another with positive content and excellent paper-cut works. His paper-cut works won the third prize in the Second Chinese Peasant Artists Works Exhibition, the Bronze Prize in the Chinese Folk Customs Paper-cut Exhibition, the Excellence Award in the Eighth China Art Festival, and many other honors; his poetry works were selected into bookcases or magazines such as "Qilu Centennial Poetry Selection".
