About This Novel

The poet Mu Xin once drew the keys of the piano on white paper and played Mozart and Bach silently during the period of confinement. Chen Danqing said, "He loves literature to the point of sin, and he is as isolated from the world as sin." Because "Chinese Good Songs" student Liu Huyi composed, played and sang Mu Xin's poem "Once Upon a Time Slow", student mentor Liu Huan further performed it at the Year of the Sheep Spring Festival Gala, which attracted attention. There are seven series (158 poems) of poems in "Mu Xin's Selected Poems", ranging from the early "Alibaba Night" to the "Slowness of the Past" that is well-known to readers of our generation, as well as the four-character poem "Tongpao" known as the "Book of Heaven", etc., Including selected poems from various periods. These poems are selected from all six poetry collections written by Mu Xin during his lifetime - "My Lots of Desires", "Three Trees in Spain", "Pseudo Solomon", "Balong", "The Book of Songs" and "The Skylark Cries All Day". Mu Xin's poems, exceptions and normalcy, thinking outside the inertia, are the mortal enemies of empty words and clichés. The quality of poetry is jealous of hatred, not showing off or noisy, expressing emotions with "old facts", forming "the power of whispering in reveries", and forming intertextuality with real life, historical time and space, classical literature, and Western culture and literature.
