Feast of Fish and Beauty
by Mu Xin
About This Novel
Mu Xin said that "self-motivated sentimentality" and "self-motivated ruthlessness" are both ridiculous. "I would like to change my name in the future..." According to Mu Xin's final draft in his later years, "The Feast of Fish and Beauty" is included in Mu Xin's past works. Articles such as "Answers to Friends" and "Answers to Reporters" are accompanied by the author's images and creative handwriting, including "Night Talk at Jianglou", "Sounds from the Strait", "Snowy Evening", "Midsummer Opening", and the disclosure of Mu Xin's work from 1983 to "A Late Confession", which was a "journey summary" to the United States in 1998. In addition, "Postwar Carnival" also looked back on "personal adolescence", and "Friends from the West" featured Mu Xin's "precious literary friends" in his later years. Mu Xin's preface says, "The Banquet of Fish and Beauty" is a selection from my "Answering Guest Questions" series. Although the topics it touches are limited to literature and art, it is also complicated, so it is euphemistically called "Fish and Beauty"... In this way, the original intention was to narrate the successes and failures of life, but it turned out to be a drunken feast.
