Shima's Poems: Collection of Tigers
by Xu Zhimo
About This Novel
"Zhimo's Poems" is Xu Zhimo's first collection of poems. The first edition in August 1925 was a vertically arranged version imitating Song Dynasty thread binding. In 1928, Shanghai Crescent Bookstore republished it in horizontal paperback format. Compared with the first edition, 15 poems have been deleted and 1 has been added, for a total of 41 poems, of which only 1 stanza of the 18-stanza "Sayannara" is retained. "Collection of Tigers" is Xu Zhimo's collection of poems with the highest artistic achievement. Published by Crescent Bookstore in August 1931, containing 34 poems. "Goodbye Cambridge", "I Don't Know Which Direction the Wind Blows", "In the Mountains", "Autumn Moon", "Two Moons", etc. All come from this collection of poems. The best poems written by Zhimo are lyrical poems, which are swaying, lingering and intoxicating. The poetry is also perfectly unified with poetry. It can be called a classic of modern new poetry.
