About This Novel
Xiao Hong is known as the "Literary Goddess of the 1930s". She is the woman with the most tragic fate among the four talented women in the Republic of China, and is also a legendary figure. Xiao Hong was an author highly praised by Lu Xun. Lu Xun and Mao Dun, both literary giants of the generation, respectively wrote prefaces to "The Biography of the Hulan River", which was a seminal work that confirmed Xiao Hong's literary status. Single volumes of his works have been best-selling for decades and are sufficiently classic. There are five volumes in this series of Xiao Hong's complete works. This book is the third part of the series. It is a collection of all Xiao Hong's prose works.
