Feng Yi's Thoughts Rizhi Wenzong
by Chen Jianhua
About This Novel
This book is a collection of nostalgic essays written by Professor Chen Jianhua. It contains 11 essays in total, in memory of the author's deceased teachers and friends Liu Jigao, Jia Zhifang, Zhang Peiheng, Zhang Hui, Ji Xian, Han Nan, Zhu Yulin, Zhao Jingshen, Wei Feide, Zhou Cezong, Wang Jingyu, Mizoguchi Yuzo, Jin Yong and other famous academic and cultural figures. The prose content mostly describes the acquaintance process between the author and the famous writers, and also discusses the profound impact of the academic achievements and literary concepts of the famous writers on the author's academic career. The title of the book is taken from Chen Yinke's "Feng Yi's Life Between Teachers and Friends", "to express my admiration and respect for the senior scholars who are lucky enough to be close to each other, and also to encourage my colleagues to pass on the torch." Sometimes people can only resist the encoding and ritual of mourning with silence; sometimes politics must emerge from the recoding of mourning in order to resist another kind of oppression of mourning. Whether as a poet or a scholar, Chen Jianhua always pays close attention to the weeping subjects and the heroes singing and building.
