About This Novel

Wen Yiduo (November 24, 1899 - July 15, 1946), whose real name was Wen Jiahua and whose courtesy name was Yousan, was born in Xishui County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. He was a great modern Chinese patriot, a staunch democracy fighter, an early leader of the China Democratic League, a close friend of the Communist Party of China, and a representative poet and scholar of the Crescent Party.
