Zhu Ziqing's Prose
by Zhu Ziqing
About This Novel
"Zhu Ziqing's Prose" is a collection of selected prose by Zhu Ziqing, a master of modern prose. Most of the articles included in this manuscript have been widely circulated, including some that have always been included in various Chinese textbooks as models of beautiful vernacular prose, such as "Spring", "Back View", "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond", etc. Zhu Ziqing worked hard on the use of language, which is vivid in its simplicity. In addition, he is very familiar with Chinese classical poetry, so he often picks it up and becomes an organic part of his works, which are full of strong Chinese characteristics. This book is divided into four volumes: "The Marks of Shoes Everywhere" which is a record of the Range Rover travels, "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond" which is a lyrical reminiscence of people, "Appreciating both the refined and the popular" which is a reflection on the world, and "The Price of Life" which is a commentary on current ills. In addition to some of Zhu Ziqing's well-known famous articles describing scenes and expressing emotions or recalling old friends, it also includes some relatively unknown articles by Zhu Ziqing that focus on social life, criticize current ills, and are rich in philosophy, allowing readers to have a more comprehensive understanding of the character of this master of prose and a democratic fighter.
