"Endymion" is a long narrative poem by Keats. Endymion is a famous handsome man in Greek mythology. His love story with the moon goddess Selene is well known. The author borrowed from Greek mythology and wrote this early masterpiece in heroic couplet, telling the story of Endymion, a shepherd boy on Mount Latamos, who fell in love with the moon goddess. They met at night, their love was deep and passionate. However, the love between mortals and goddesses was not blessed by destiny. The protagonist Endymion fell into a dream of searching for his lover and embarked on a wandering journey. He witnessed the romance of many pairs of lovers, such as Venus and Adonis, Alpheus and Arethusa, Glaucus and Scylla, etc. And received their help. At the end of the journey, he fell into a permanent sleep, meeting and staying with his goddess in his dreams every night.
