"Ship of Fools" is a narrative work in the poetry genre. The whole poem occupies a total of 7308 lines, commonly known as an 8,000-line poem. "Ship of Fools" has its own preface and postscript, and is then divided into 112 chapters. After chapter 110, it takes a unique approach and lists two more chapters, 110a and 110b.
