About This Novel
"The Divine Comedy" tells the story of the Italian poet Dante who strayed into a dark and dangerous forest one night when he was "halfway through his life journey". When the sun rose, three ferocious beasts-a lion, a leopard, and a wolf-blocked Dante's way. At this time, the great ancient Roman poet Virgil appeared. You can read the book, but don't focus too much on its religious content. I am a materialist. Although I do not believe in the existence of gods, Buddhas, ghosts, etc., I think this book is excellent. Dante's writing style is more inclined to detailed description. Through a large number of detailed descriptions, it will give you a true, beautiful, and longing mood. This kind of detailed description is very worthy of our study. Don't be assimilated by the vivid scenes and characters in the book, although the hell, purgatory, and heaven described by Dante are very good and very real. Because of this, some people will believe in its existence and worship it. I am a materialist but I do not object to others worshiping gods, Buddhas and the like. But worship must have limits. It is really a bit extreme to promote your beliefs on the Internet. You can tell others about the religion you like but it must be moderate. Without looking at the strong religious overtones, the writing, plot, and character construction of this book are all very good. Especially the writing and character construction can be said to be very good.
