About This Novel
Fernando Pessoa is a great Portuguese poet of the 20th century. He created a unique literary world with more than a hundred synonyms. Among these synonyms, "Gombos" may be closest to the truth about Pessoa himself: the unbridled spiritual world is just a dream he weaves with poetry and words; in real life, he is an ordinary clerk who can never even pack his suitcase when he goes out.
