About This Novel
It was almost half o'clock after the emergency warning was issued. There was a faint sound of airplanes in the sky. The streets were quiet and there was no light. He stood up from the stone steps in front of the iron gate of the bank, walked to the sidewalk, and raised his head to look at the sky. The sky was gray and black, like a faded black cloth, and he could see nothing except the thick shadows of the tall buildings opposite. He raised his head blankly for a while. He was not focusing on listening or looking at anything. He seemed to be doing this just to kill time. Time seemed to be deliberately against him, moving extremely slowly. Not only was it slow, he even felt that it had stopped moving. But the chill of the night gradually penetrated his thin jacket, and his body suddenly trembled slightly. Only then did he lower his head. He let out a painful breath. He whispered to himself: "I can't do this again!"
