This book is a collection of works of four contemporary Irish poets co-translated by Bao Huiyi and Peng Lijing. Among the four poets, Michael Longley, Harry Clifton and Paula Meehan have been the last three Irish Poet Laureates respectively. Paul Merton was once a professor of poetry at Oxford University and is currently a professor at the School of Humanities at Princeton University. The works of the four poets selected in this collection of poems are mostly about their reflections on universal values and national identity, their emotions and considerations about Irish and English, and their reflections on the relationship between poetry and human society. They all have profound literary and practical significance.
