About This Novel
This book collects all the famous poems written by Plath from 1956 to his death. It was personally edited, annotated and prefaced by her husband, British Poet Laureate Ted Hughes. It won the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and is also the author's most comprehensive poetry collection. Plath's poems are full of strong imagery, and almost every poem contains enough elements to outline a distinct postmodernist painting. Some of the images Plath depicts in her poems are grand and desolate, some are grotesque and playful, but almost all of them contain a restrained sadness. For these flow freely from a grieving soul.
