The "Eight Great Masters of Tang and Song Dynasty" refers to the eight writers who were very successful in the history of prose creation during the Tang and Song Dynasties. They are Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan in the Tang Dynasty, and Ouyang Xiu, Su Xun, Su Shi, Su Che, Wang Anshi and Zeng Gong in the Song Dynasty.
