About This Novel
"The Eyeless Man" uses a female reporter's discovery deep in the Taihang Mountains in western China, and uses 10 years of tracking records to tell the story of a strange team that has served the Eighth Route Army in the spy war since the beginning of the Anti-Japanese War, and is called the "Eyeless Man" by the people in the mountains. This team is composed of 11 blind artists who have made a living by wandering and singing for 70 years. No one knows that the complete repertoire and original singing methods of the minor tunes that are included in the list of China's intangible cultural heritage are preserved in the team of blind people; no one knows how this isolated group can behave in a completely closed manner. Love and hate; no one knows what kind of extremely alternative reincarnation world of life and death these "unwanted people" have; and those stories or legends, which are both true and false, include the suspenseful history of wars, are about the loss of humanities, and are forcing questions about human nature and the ecological transformation of life. Readers will travel through an incredible world without eyes, and see an unheard-of legend of war and peace amidst layers of revelations.
