Complete Works of Shakespeare's Dramas (6 Volumes)
About This Novel
In the autumn of 1947, Shanghai World Book Company published "The Complete Works of Shakespeare's Plays" translated by Zhu Shenghao, a total of 27 plays, including no historical dramas. This set of "The Complete Works of Shakespeare's Plays" is a reappearance of these 27 classics. Except for the unified translation of "Hamlet" into "Hamlet" according to the conventional translation method, the translation contents of other names and place names are reproduced in the 1947 version. In terms of editing, this set of books has rearranged the original contents according to the nature of each play and subsequent expert opinions and divided them into six volumes. For details, see the bibliography of "The Complete Works of Shakespeare's Plays" in the book. It took two years of correction and editing to strive for excellence and restore the full picture of Mr. Zhu Shenghao's translation to the greatest extent possible.
