His sadness and decadence reflected the darkness of the social environment at that time and the melancholy of the young people who broke the feudal ethics and struggled to find a way out. But I don't agree with the way of life of the person in the book. He does something practical for the country instead of sinking into decadent emotions. In dark place Fang also had glimmers of light. Although the era he lived in was a dark and chaotic era, there were thousands of revolutionaries and patriots who brought glory to the country and worked hard to change the predicament. The country is already in this situation, and it will not help to feel sad. It is better to cheer up and change the status quo.

I prefer Yu Dafu's ancient poetry
Although Yu Dafu is remembered in the history of modern literature with his novels, Yu Dafu's ancient poems are more outstanding and can be said to be unique among masters in the Republic of China. Being a poet requires a somewhat neurotic temperament, and Yu Dafu does have the arrogant temperament of ancient talents.
