January 2131 People once had wings. Nga, who sat alone on his golden throne atop Kirinyaga, gave humans the ability to fly so they could reach the succulent fruits on the highest branches of trees. But there was a man, a son of Gikuyu and the first man, who saw eagles and vultures soaring high in the sky, and he stretched out his wings and joined them. He hovered higher and higher, and soon he was far above all flying creatures. At this time, Enga suddenly reached out and grabbed the son of Gikuyu. "What have I done that you want to arrest me?" Asked the son of Gikuyu. "I live on the top of Mount Kirinyaga because it is the top of the world," Nga replied. "No one's head can be higher than mine."
