The French officer Captain Servadac and the orderly Ben Zoff were suddenly knocked unconscious by a huge shock. When the two woke up, they found that the sun rose from the west and set from the east. Day and night became 6 hours. Only one side of the Sharif River's bank remains. The waves in the Mediterranean Sea were several times higher than usual... When Servadac and the survivors rescued the astronomer Professor Rosset, everyone figured out the mystery: It turned out that they had fallen into a comet that had collided with the earth. Under the leadership of the captain and the count, everyone overcame various difficulties on the comet and saw many strange scenes in the universe. Two years later (the year of the comet), they miraculously returned to Earth.
