In terms of character creation, the fight between Mr. Yang Ming and Zhang Yong can be said to be a microcosm of the thousand-year grudge between the Assassins and the Templars. Although this book has created countless vivid characters, riding on the long street, and every time you look up and turn your head, you will see familiar figures and eyebrows, but Shao Yunyu is only a clue to the whole story. What really makes people stand out is Mr. Yang Ming and Zhang Yong's Eunuch Zhang.
Mr. Yangming and Eight Tigers Zhang Yong both have a sense of desolation. Their mutual acquaintance, mutual respect, and even betrayal and separation are the biggest tragedy of the whole story. The real cruelty of this story does not lie in the cruel means Zhang Yong used to uproot the society or how the chess pieces dropped by Mr. Yangming destroyed Zhang Yong's hard work, but the sadness and helplessness of a pair of close friends walking on two completely opposite paths for the same goal. Just like the last game of chess between them, the black and white are clear on the scale. They understand and respect each other, but they never agree.
The advantages of this book are by no means limited to the sophistication of the plot and the richness of the characters. This is not what this book is about. Its most important task is to sort out the Taoism and connect the context. How did the Bloodstainers of Greece, the Guardians of Egypt, and the Assassin Brotherhood of Europe get involved with China? This is the key point. They cannot be crudely transplanted to China. They must be integrated into the blood and become connected with the same spirit.
