Metro - Comment on "Metro 2033"

After reading "Metro 2033", it feels like I have experienced a real journey of survival in the apocalypse. The mode of a road movie is refreshing when placed in a dark and cramped subway, and the different customs and customs of each station are even more vivid. Nuclear war has changed the environment, and the environment affects politics. Different politics have given rise to different appearances of the stations. The cross-section and depth of the world are condensed into one subway, as if everything should be like this. Why do people live? This human philosophy that has been passed down for thousands of years has been repeatedly scrutinized in the post-apocalyptic world. Every survivor has his own answer. Some of these ideas are absurd, some extreme, some sinking, and some resist. At a time when the future has lost its thread and darkness abounds in the subway, Artyom, as the spark of hope for mankind, has overcome obstacles and finally completed his mission. Unlike Tang Sanzang, this result is too ironic, making the meaning that Artyom is searching for ridiculous. The bridge of communication is broken, the last glimmer of light belonging to mankind is obscured by the darkness set off by the missile, and mankind once again pays for its own desires. In this context, Artyom, as a young man living in the VDNKh station, embarked on a journey through the subway system because of a hunter's request. The main line of the story is to save the crisis faced by the subway, that is, to eliminate the dark tribe, but what Artyom saw and heard and his experience while crossing the subway are also important parts of the story. , We see the absurd and realistic political situation in the subway, the tragic human life, and the financial system that uses bullets as currency through Artyom's perspective. The outstanding feature of the novel is not the plot, but the worldview based on the plot. Only when we deeply understand it can we discover how exquisite and shocking these settings are. Finally, let's conclude with the words Khan left to Artyom in the novel: "Those who have the courage and patience to stare into the darkness all their lives will be the first to see the faint light in it."

The cost of purchasing this book is a bit expensive😱. Russian novels, the post-nuclear world is worth looking forward to.
