About This Novel

During the Libyan evacuation operation in 2011, I was invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to complete the full-length work "Country". This time during the fight against Ebola, at the invitation of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, I wrote this "Death War". Both works are about diplomatic events and China's outstanding performance on the world stage. Although the events were different: the evacuation operation was for our own compatriots, and the fight against the Ebola attack was an operation to aid other countries. In fact, they were two major power actions that demonstrated the Chinese style and spirit after China became a recognized world power. Chinese style and Chinese spirit are not empty. They include valuing and cherishing every life of our compatriots and people. It also includes respecting and cherishing the lives of people in other countries, especially those weak and poor countries, and the destiny of their countries. That is what we often say, you must have love for others and be sincere; when you see others in trouble, you should do your best to help them and never give up or humiliate them. We can always respect each other, be equal and mutually beneficial, and get along well with each other.
