About This Novel

Awesomely written novel But it is like prose, the main line is very clear, the text is very abstract... Ancient language (a bit too ancient to be honest), and the narrative angle is very loose. Almost every chapter is not continuous in time, and the relationship between the two points in time is not clearly stated. If there is any mention, it is a certain year (reign number). However, the male and female protagonists belong to two countries. The female protagonist has changed two emperors, and the male protagonist has changed four emperors (so the era names are constantly changing). It is difficult to distinguish clearly, and it is very difficult to read. Furthermore, the author also particularly likes to narrate flashbacks (I really want to complain that this is simply random narration). It is difficult to understand. It took me a long time to figure out which part of the plot it was. But it's true that the writing is really good. The plot is relatively average, quite satisfactory, and it relies on the writing to cover up many plot flaws. The male protagonist is like a Riddler and has no idea what he is doing in the first two-thirds of the plot. The female protagonist is full of various numerical values but does not get a "name" in the actual sense.
The writing is very good, but there are many classical Chinese texts, which seems a little laborious. But it is understandable that the writing style is very good, the characters are clear, and the protagonist has three correct views. I highly recommend it.
