About This Novel
The first part of "Mang Cong Ji" is a long historical Jianghu novel based on the peasant uprising of Yang Yao, the Prime Minister of the Southern Song Dynasty. Through the creation of characters such as Yan Sheng, Lu Ming, Zhong Xiang, Yang Tai, Yue Fei, etc., The intertwining fate of different characters and the collision between different ideals are shown. The novel takes place in places such as Tai'an and Feicheng in Shandong Province, and the Dongting Lake area in Hunan Province. It depicts life from the late Northern Song Dynasty to the early Southern Song Dynasty. The novel depicts the images, temperaments, life experiences of big and small characters in large sections, as well as the fateful entanglements between different characters, thereby focusing on depicting the social contradictions in a specific society, the inner conflicts and self-salvation of the characters.
