About This Novel
On August 8, 1945, the Soviet government declared war on Japan. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a statement calling for a nationwide counterattack. The units of the New Fourth Army immediately launched a fierce attack on the Japanese and puppet troops and launched a siege on a column of Japanese and puppet troops in the northern Jiangsu area.
