Decay Tide

About This Novel
When the earth was devoured by the mysterious "corruption tide" pollution, the past civilization was reduced to ruins, and the terrifying Zerg were raging in the ruins, feeding on life. The surviving humans huddled in the steel fortress, not only having to fight against the endless zerg, but also facing the dual fate brought about by the radiation of the rot tide: destruction or mutation. In this race for survival, human beings are divided into insurmountable ladders: the vast majority of ordinary people struggle to survive in the inner layers of the fortress; a small number of "superpowers" have awakened the ability to control elements or strengthen their bodies, but are no longer mortals; and the "alienated ones", which account for only one percent, have gained the terrifying power of controlling "source energy" at the cost of growing scaly tails, membrane wings or sharp claws, and have become the ultimate line of defense against the Zerg. The power of alienated people far exceeds that of superpowers, while superpowers crush ordinary people. This cruel third-order law builds a new social order in the end of the world. The Zerg skeletons are no longer a symbol of terror, but the cornerstone of survival. Insect hunters wield weapons made of jumping locust leg bones and iron beetle shells, and go deep into polluted areas to hunt the bugs. The "Insect Hunters Association" monopolizes resources and glory, the alienated ones rely on their source energy and alienated characteristics to look down on all living beings, the supernatural beings assist in combat, and ordinary people support the basic operation of the fortress. The tension and collaboration between the three compose a song of survival in despair.
