About This Novel
1981, Beijing Hutong. Zhou Ming was reborn and returned to an era when supplies were scarce but full of hope. My parents are state-owned factory workers, my younger sister is still in school, and my family is so poor that we even have to save eggs. In order to change his destiny, he decided to start selling tea eggs at a stall. Five cents for an egg, a spoonful of sugar for freshness, and a bowl of hot soup to warm your heart. From a small stall at the entrance of an alley, to contracting a non-staple food store, and then to establishing a food factory, Zhou Ming wrote his own ordinary legend step by step in the wave of reform and opening up.
