The book centers on the turbulent meeting of the heroes of Wagang Village, revealing the debauchery and immorality of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty, which brought serious suffering to the people, leading to the anti-Sui uprising of "Eighteen Routes against the King, Sixty-four Routes of Smoke" across the country.
