About This Novel

When I was young, I was very fond of Jin Yong's world of martial arts, especially the swordsman Feng Qingyang, who was briefly mentioned in "The Swordsman". Later, I researched the era and historical events related to Feng Qingyang, and wrote a martial arts novel set in the Yongle era with Feng Qingyang as the protagonist. At first, it was purely a personal preference. After reading what I wrote at that time, I was very moved. Now, after repeated revisions, it has become a historical martial arts novel that I am somewhat satisfied with. Feng Qingyang is the mysterious swordsman in Jin Yong's "The Swordsman". The original book doesn't mention much about him. We only know that he came from the south of the Yangtze River, had first-class swordsmanship, and was born in the Yongle period of Jianwen. Yongle was an era sandwiched between Jianwen and Renxuan. During the more than thirty years from Jianwen to Renxuan, the Ming Dynasty experienced many difficulties and its national power gradually grew stronger. There were many talented people in the court and many strange people in the world. It was a particularly exciting period of the Ming Dynasty. It is a wonderful story that revolves around Emperor Jianwen and Mingyue Sword after the Jingnan Incident.
