About This Novel

This novel is adapted from personal experiences and stories told by elderly people in the village where the unit works over the past few years. It describes the struggle and hard work of grassroots water conservancy workers (sluice operation and management office) under difficult conditions from their own perspective. The content of the story is slightly dramatized, and the names and events involved have nothing to do with reality. Any similarity is purely coincidental.
