About This Novel
This is a story about a small mountain town in northwest China, where there is nothing but poverty. The protagonist, Liu Zi, is an out-and-out farmer who has experienced the joy and bitterness brought by love. He fell to the bottom due to the misfortune of his marriage, but got back up again under the inspiration of family affection. In the constant struggle, he changed the trajectory of his life and, together with this small mountain town, moved step by step towards a better era.
