About This Novel
This volume selects prose works from the mid-1920s to before the fall of Hong Kong in 1941, mainly from newspaper supplements and periodicals published in Hong Kong, with a few selected from single volumes. The authors include Xie Chenguang, Lun Lun, etc. Who grew up locally, as well as Mao Dun, Ye Lingfeng, etc. Who came to the south and lived temporarily or permanently. The former is certainly the undisputed "Hong Kong writer", and the latter has also contributed to Hong Kong's cultural environment and literary atmosphere. As far as "Hong Kong literature" is concerned, neither can be ignored.
