About This Novel
"Ode to the Earth: A Garden Journey" One day, I felt a deep longing, an urgent need to be close to the earth. So, I decided to garden every day. "The Scent of Time: The Art of Dwelling" Today's time crisis is not an acceleration. The days of acceleration are long gone. What we currently think of as acceleration is just one of the symptoms of time being lost. This book looks back to history to draw attention to the need for a different way of understanding everyday life in order to avoid falling into a temporal crisis. What the author remembers is not "the time of telling." The end of telling, or the end of a story, does not necessarily mean a gap in time. It has the potential to open up a life time that is free from theology and teleology and exudes its own unique fragrance. Its premise is to revive the "contemplative life." "The Crisis of Narrative" Today is an era when everyone is talking about narrative. Paradoxically, the proliferation of narrative topics actually exposes a narrative crisis. Amid the din of "storytelling," there is a narrative vacuum that is meaningless and directionless. Capitalism takes ownership of narrative through storytelling. It subordinates telling to consumption.
