About This Novel
Zhang Qiuping and Luo Chunfen joined the Red Star Machinery Factory on the same day in 1975. Previously, both of them were educated youths who joined the queue. The countryside is a vast world. One is in the plains and the other is in the mountains. They are like two small fish wandering in a vast lake. If they were not caught by different fishing boats and big nets, and then sent to the same market and put into the same large water basin, the two fishes would not be able to meet each other, and it would be difficult to even know the existence of each other. The Red Star Factory is a large enterprise with thousands of employees. There are two to three hundred new employees who entered the factory in the same batch. They are all educated youths. They all had dreams of making a big difference, but after a few years, they all became disillusioned and wished they could return to the city sooner.
