This book consists of a total of 33 stories about miracles in "The Book of Miracles" and "Stories of Miracles", which are respectively the fifth and sixth original novel collections by the Irish fantasy writer Lord Dunsany. Critics believe that many fantasy literature authors were deeply influenced by the style of Lord Dunsany's works, including J. R. R. Tolkien (author of "The Lord of the Rings"), H. P. Lovecraft (author of "The Myth of Crusu"), and Ursula Le Guin (author of "Tales from Earthsea"). Lord Dunsany (1878-1957) was an Irish writer and playwright, famous for his fantasy novels. He created hundreds of works in his lifetime, which profoundly influenced dozens of writers including H. P. Lovecraft (author of "The Myth of Crusu") and J. R. R. Tolkien (author of "The Lord of the Rings"). He is one of the founders of modern fantasy literature.
