About This Novel
"To Young Readers" has a total of twenty-nine articles, written between 1923 and 1926. It is Bing Xin's newsletter to young readers. Twenty of them were written while studying in the United States and were successively published in the supplement of Beijing's "Morning News" at that time. In these communications, Bing Xin introduced in detail what she saw on the way to the United States and her feelings in the United States. In addition to the beautiful scenery, she also had deep thoughts and the warmth of human kindness. Traveling far away from home, Bing Xin always cared about her family, her mother, and her motherland. The festivals and customs of her motherland also appeared in her memories from time to time. "Miscellaneous Notes from the Mountains - Young Readers of Remote Notes" was written in 1924. In the article, Bing Xin expressed her love for the lovely people, animals and insects she encountered in the mountains.
