Red and Black
About This Novel
"The Red and the Black" is the foundation work of European critical realism in the 19th century. The novel focuses on the protagonist Julien's personal struggles and failures, especially the description of his two love affairs. It extensively displays "the social atmosphere brought about by successive governments that pressed on the French people in the early 30 years of the 19th century." It strongly criticizes the reaction of the aristocrats during the Restoration Dynasty, the darkness of the church, and the despicable vulgarity and greed of the new bourgeoisie. Although the novel takes Julien's love life as the main line, it is not a love novel, but a "political novel".

What does it mean? What does it mean?
This book is boring🙄
I didn't think it was very interesting, it was too negative and a bit boring. I'll watch it again if I have a chance in the future.
It's so tiring to watch, don't have too high expectations, it's so long-winded
