Wang Shouren (October 31, 1472 - January 9, 1529), whose real name was Wang Yun, courtesy name Bo'an, and nickname Yangming, was from Yuyao, Zhejiang, Han nationality. An outstanding thinker, writer, military strategist and educator in the Ming Dynasty. Destiny never favored Wang Yangming.
