About This Novel

The only model of mystery novels that can compete with "Sherlock Holmes", it won the 1st Japan Mystery Writers Association Award. It is the opening work of the famous detective Kindaichi, the starting point of Japanese mystery novels after World War II, and opened a new pattern of Japanese mystery novels. The Detective Collection of Kindaichi is full of sad and poignant poetry, with a strong Japanese flavor. He has fair skin, short stature, stutters a bit, and likes to scratch his hair. The hat is floppy, the kimono is wrinkled, the culottes are baggy, the clogs are worn bald, and the toes are almost exposed from the short socks. He is often mistaken as a suspect by the police, and he only relies on his head to solve the case. He is the well-known Oriental detective Kindaichi. The work is mainly based on traditional reasoning, with a strange atmosphere on the surface, but it completely abandons the popular unrealistic plots, and uses pure realistic techniques to condense various typical elements of mystery novels into the creation. At the same time, it incorporates the unique humanities and customs of Japanese society, raising the level of Japanese mystery novels to a new level. A total of 25 volumes are included.
