Personal opinion: When writing a Red Mansions fanfiction, it is very important who the male protagonist is. Because of the relationship between the 87 Dream of Red Mansions, Jia Huan and Jia Lian left a deep impression on me. I feel that the male protagonist in this novel is a bit hard to fit in, especially Jia Huan, who has a black donkey face and is not even close to a romantic and suave talent! When Jia Lian said he wanted to recruit Lin Xue, I didn't feel that he meant it. It's best to have an original male protagonist.
