About This Novel
"The Endless Yangtze Rolls" describes the underground trade union activities under the rule of the old warlords, the vigorous development of the workers' movement after the Northern Expeditionary Army arrived in Wuhan, and the changes and growth experiences of workers in their thoughts and lives. It also intersperses the rural struggle to regain the British concession in Hankou and overthrow the local tyrants and evil gentry, as well as the love stories of several pairs of young revolutionaries. It reflects the characteristics of the times when the working class opposed the invasion of foreign powers and the feudal system of marriage, and fought for free love. It also highlights the noble sentiments of the protagonist who is not afraid of powerful enemies and fights back oppression. A group of young people defended the results of the struggle under heavy siege and blockade by the enemy, and praised the heroic and unyielding revolutionary spirit of the Communists and the workers and peasants.
