"Dublins" was written between 1904 and 1907 and consists of fifteen short stories. According to Joyce himself, these novels can be divided into four parts: childhood, youth, adulthood and social life. Among them, "Two Sisters", "Encounter" and "Araby" describe childhood life, "Eveline", "After the Game" and "Two Players" depict the mood of teenagers, and "The Post" The chapters "Staying at the Inn", "Floating Cloud", "Opposite Shadow", "Earth" and "Sad Murder" can be seen as inner portraits of adults, while the four chapters "Memorial Day", "Mother", "Holy Grace" and "The Dead" reflect the dull and hypocritical social life in Dublin at the end of the 19th century.
